Congratulations to David Snow!

David Snow was selected as this year's recipient of the Lee Founders Award of the Society for the Study of Social Problems.

The Lee Founders Award is a scholarly career achievement award that has been awarded annually since 1982 by the SSSP. It is intended to recognize scholars who have made foundational contributions to the study of social problems in the U.S. and internationally, and have, through their scholarly achievements, demonstrated continuing devotion to the ideals of two of the founders of the SSSP, Alfred McClung Lee and
Elizabeth Briant Lee, who were leaders in the study of social problems from an interactionist/humanist perspective. (Alfred McClung Lee was ASA President in 1976.) Previous Lee Founders Award winners include: Frances Fox Piven (current ASA president), Richard Cloward, Thomas Scheff, Elliot Liebow, Jessie Bernard, and Valerie Jenness.
