Ron Lesthaeghe awarded the IUSSP 2008 Laureate

The Council of IUSSP , the premier international organization for scholars studying population, announces that the IUSSP 2008 Laureate will be awarded to Ron Lesthaeghe, one of UC Irvine Sociology's distinguished visitng professors. The Laureate Award Ceremony honouring Ron Lesthaeghe’s contributions to demography and the IUSSP will take place at the PAA Annual Meeting in New Orleans at 20:00 directly following the IUSSP plenary debate on “Are Policies Responsive to Adolescents’ Sexual and Reproductive Transitions and Needs?” in Bayside C, 4th Floor, Sheraton New Orleans Hotel.
