• Roberto Gonzales: tenure track Assistant Professor in the School of Social Welfare at the University of Washington -- ranked #3 School of Social Welfare in the country.
• Yuki Kato: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Tulane University (2007 PhD; currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Towson University).
  
• Matthew Mahutga: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at UC Riverside
• Sharon Oselin: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at California State University, Los Angeles
• Danielle Rudes: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Departments of Administration of Justice and Sociology at George Mason University
• Jody Agius Vallejo: tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Southern California.  Jody has also been awarded a Visiting Research Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies and U.S.-Mexican Studies at UC, San Diego, where she will spend the next academic year (2008-09) before beginning her post at USC.

• Catherine Corrigall-Brown: a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada)
• Makiko Fuwa: a three-year Research Associate at the Institute of Social Science in the University of Tokyo -- rated the top university in Japan (Tokyo, Japan)
• Yuki Kato: a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice Department at Towson University (Baltimore, Maryland)
• Mark Leach: a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Sociology Department at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale
• Charlie Morgan: a tenure-track assistant professor position at Brigham Young University, (Provo, Utah)
