  • Sabeen Sandhu: academic year lecturer position at Santa Clara University
  • Rosaura Tafoya-Estrada: Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at Boise State University
  • Monica Trieu: a two-year SBS (Social and Behavioral Science) post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Sociology at Ohio State University

2007-2008

  • Roberto Gonzales: tenure track Assistant Professor in the School of Social Welfare at the University of Washington -- ranked #3 School of Social Welfare in the country.
  • Matthew Mahutga: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at UC Riverside
  • Christine Oh: Postdoctoral Associate Researcher at the Graduate School of Education in University of California, Los Angeles
  • Sharon Oselin: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department at California State University, Los Angeles
  • Danielle Rudes: tenure track Assistant Professor in the Departments of Administration of Justice and Sociology at George Mason University
  • Julie Song: tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Chaffey College
  • Tsiu-o Tai: appointed to an NSF-funded postdoctoral researcher position in the UCI Sociology Department.
  • Jody Agius Vallejo: tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Southern California.  Jody has also been awarded a Visiting Research Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies and U.S.-Mexican Studies at UC, San Diego, where she will spend the next academic year (2008-09) before beginning her post at USC.

  • Christina Baker: a tenure-track Assistant Professor of American and Multicultural Studies at Sonoma State University
  • Wai-Kit Choi: a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Cal State University, Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)
  • Catherine Corrigall-Brown: a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Sociology at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada)
  • Makiko Fuwa: a three-year Research Associate at the Institute of Social Science in the University of Tokyo -- rated the top university in Japan (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Yuki Kato: a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology at Tulane University
  • Mark Leach: a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sociology at Pennsylvania State University
